Hello, I'm Laura — and this is my small corner of the internet where calm lives.

I started Lowri By Nature as a hobby. Not a business plan, not a five-year strategy — just a quiet creative outlet for a busy wife, mum, dog mum, and professional who had very little time left over for herself.

Like so many people, I knew the feeling of reaching the end of a long, hectic day with nothing left in the tank. Self-care felt like a luxury I couldn't afford. But I also knew that even the smallest rituals could shift everything. Lighting a candle. Sitting down with a book or a film. Taking a slow breath and letting the day go.

So I started making candles. And something clicked.

Why Lowri?

Lowri is the Welsh form of Laura. These candles are handmade in North Wales, where I grew up — surrounded by the kind of landscapes that remind you to slow down and notice the world around you. The name carries all of that with it. It felt right from the start.

What We Stand For

Every Lowri By Nature candle is hand-poured in small batches using 100% natural soy wax and premium fragrance oils. No shortcuts, no compromise, no factory lines. Just careful, intentional craft — because the whole point is that this is your moment, and it deserves to be done properly.

I chose soy wax because I wanted something clean and natural burning in my own home, around my family. Soy wax produces minimal soot, holds fragrance beautifully, and burns longer than paraffin alternatives. It's better for your home and better for the planet — and that matters to me.

From Hobby to Home

What started as something just for me quickly became something I wanted to share. Because if a handmade candle could give me that sense of calm — even for just an hour — maybe it could do the same for someone else. A fellow busy mum. A friend who needed a treat. Anyone who deserved a little more stillness in their day.

That's still what drives every candle I make. Not trends, not algorithms — just the simple, genuine belief that everyone deserves a moment to breathe.
