A Guide to Tea-Inspired Home Fragrance

Laura Baker

There's something wonderfully comforting about the ritual of tea. The warmth of the cup in your hands, the gentle curl of steam, the quiet moment it creates in an otherwise busy day. At Lowri By Nature, we've taken that same sense of calm and bottled it — quite literally — into our tea-inspired candle collection.

Why Tea Makes the Perfect Candle Fragrance

Tea fragrances occupy a unique space in home fragrance. They're neither too sweet nor too sharp — they sit in that perfect middle ground of warmth, freshness, and sophistication. Whether it's the floral delicacy of a rose-infused blend or the crisp, clean notes of Earl Grey, tea-inspired scents have a timeless quality that works beautifully in any room.

Our Tea-Inspired Candles

Earl Grey & Cucumber

Our Earl Grey & Cucumber candle is a modern classic. The bergamot-forward warmth of Earl Grey is lifted by the cool, clean freshness of cucumber — creating a scent that feels both grounding and invigorating. Perfect for a home office, kitchen, or anywhere you want to feel quietly alert and at ease.

Darjeeling & Tea Rose

If Earl Grey is the bold, confident choice, Darjeeling & Tea Rose is its more romantic counterpart. Light, floral, and gently sweet, this blend captures the delicate character of first-flush Darjeeling with a soft rose finish. It's the candle you light when you want your home to feel like a garden in bloom.

How to Style Tea-Inspired Candles in Your Home

  • The kitchen: Earl Grey & Cucumber works beautifully here — it complements the natural aromas of cooking without competing with them.
  • The bedroom: Darjeeling & Tea Rose creates a calming, floral atmosphere that's perfect for winding down in the evening.
  • The living room: Either scent works well as a centrepiece — place on a wooden tray with a few dried botanicals for a styled, intentional look.
  • The bathroom: A small tin candle on the edge of the bath transforms an ordinary soak into something truly indulgent.

Caring for Your Tea Collection Candle

To get the most from your candle, always trim the wick to around 5mm before each burn. Allow the wax to melt to the edges on the first burn to prevent tunnelling, and never burn for more than 4 hours at a time. Store away from direct sunlight to preserve the fragrance.

The Perfect Gift

Tea-inspired candles make a thoughtful, elegant gift — especially for anyone who loves a proper brew. Our tins are beautifully presented and arrive ready to gift. Whether it's a birthday, thank you, or just because, a Lowri By Nature candle is always a welcome surprise.
