Where It All Began
Lowri By Nature started as a hobby. Not a business plan or a grand ambition — just a quiet creative outlet for Laura, a busy wife, mother, dog mum, and professional with a demanding career and very little time left over for herself.
Like so many of us, Laura knew the feeling of reaching the end of a hectic day and having nothing left in the tank. Self-care felt like a luxury she couldn't afford. But she also knew that even the smallest rituals — lighting a candle, curling up with a book, taking a slow breath — could shift everything. So she started making candles. And something clicked.
The Name
Lowri is the Welsh form of Laura. It felt right from the start — personal, rooted, and quietly meaningful. These candles are handmade in North Wales, where Laura grew up, surrounded by the kind of landscapes that remind you to slow down and notice the world around you. The name carries all of that with it.
What Lowri By Nature Stands For
At its heart, Lowri By Nature is about one thing: that moment at the end of the day when you finally sit down, light a candle, and just breathe. No agenda. No to-do list. Just you, a flickering flame, and nature's escape filling the room.
Every candle is hand-poured in small batches using 100% natural soy wax and premium fragrance oils. No shortcuts, no compromise — because the whole point is that this is your moment, and it deserves to be done properly.
From Hobby to Home
What started as something just for Laura quickly became something she wanted to share. Because if a handmade candle could give her that sense of calm — even for just an hour — maybe it could do the same for someone else. A fellow busy mum. A friend who needed a treat. Anyone who deserved a little more stillness in their day.
That's still what drives every candle we make. Not trends, not algorithms — just the simple, genuine belief that everyone deserves a moment to breathe.
